Hello & WELCOME to my BLOG!
I first want to thank you for stopping by blog. I am a woman, like many other who was struck with illness when I least expected it. It has been a journey full of surprises and struggles. This blog will give tips, suggestions and insight as to how I coped with cancer and kept my sanity! I promise to be honest and upbeat as I take you on this journey with me. My first initial reaction was ‘Oh God, I can’t have CANCER and a BABY”! Blog post to follow with that title~~
I am a wife, mother, therapist, friend, survivor and renewed life enthusiast. At the time of my diagnosis my spouse was working full time. I had recently become a full time stay at home mom. I planned to return to work as a school counselor the following school term. Approximately 6 months after the birth of my son I noticed a small bump under my right arm. This was the beginning of my struggle to determine what the origin of that bump was. I am an extremely private person. I felt the need to do this blog in hopes to help someone, anyone better deal with cancer. Mostly, I want to let others know that they are not alone in this fight.
I encountered many barriers as a young woman getting diagnosed with cancer. Hopefully, my story will prevent someone else from the same struggles. I am willing to answer any questions you have. I am a psychotherapist as well as a survivor so I will be addressing mental health and well as physical health.
This is my cancer blog and this is my story.
